‘I Am Not Distracted’ – Wike Speaks On Rivers Political Crisis, His Assignment As FCT minister
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has asserted that he remains undeterred by the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State.
Wike reiterated this stance during an inspection of various key projects slated for commissioning by President Bola Tinubu, which began on May 27 to commemorate his one-year anniversary in office.
He underscored that without his unwavering focus amidst the crisis, the completion and commissioning of numerous projects in the FCT would not have been achievable.
Despite circulating speculations suggesting otherwise, Wike remains resolute in his commitment to his duties as the FCT minister, regardless of the political turmoil in Rivers State.
Wike said: “I am not distracted as FCT minister. If I’m distracted you will not see all these projects in FCT.”
The FCT Minister noted that President Tinubu will be commissioning projects which will last for nine days in the nation’s capital city.
Recall that Wike is the immediate past Governor of Rivers State. He was succeeded by Siminalayi Fubara.
However, the duo have been at loggerheads since Fubara commenced his reign.
