Man Dies At Lagos Bar – Police Confirms
The sudden death of an unidentified man at a beer parlour in Lagos State has been confirmed by the State Police Command.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, disclosed this information to the press on Sunday.
The owner of the beer parlour, whose identity remains undisclosed, reported the incident to the Elere Police Division on Wednesday at approximately 7.00 p.m. According to the report, the deceased customer believed to be in his 50s, arrived at the beer parlour situated along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway at around 6.15 p.m.
The bar owner stated that the customer entered the open bar and took a seat to watch television, just like any other patrons, while some were enjoying their drinks.
“He was later observed to be sleeping on the chair and there was an attempt to wake him up, but they discovered that he was lifeless.
“The scene was visited by detectives of the division and the body was seen lifeless on the chair without any mark of violence.
“The body has been removed to Mainland General Hospital Mortuary Yaba, Lagos for autopsy. Efforts to trace his family is in progress,” he said.
