FG To Launch Data Centre To Protect Citizens’ Biodata
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government has unveiled its plans to launch a cutting-edge data centre that will be able to store up to 1.4 petabytes of citizens’ biodata by May 29, 2024.
According to reliable sources, this data centre will serve as a repository for a wide range of critical national information, including citizens’ biodata.
During a meeting with a delegation from the National Union of Nigerian Associations in Italy (NUNAI), led by its President, Chief Rowland Ndukuba, in Abuja on Monday, the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, highlighted the significance of embracing technology and innovation.
He emphasized that adopting state-of-the-art technological solutions is crucial to tackling modern challenges.

In response to NUNAI’s requests for intervention, collaboration, and the establishment of passport front offices, the minister assured them that their requests would be reviewed. He also mentioned that any relevant information would be communicated to them in due course.
However, he issued a stern warning that the administration led by President Bola Tinubu would not tolerate illegal migration. Nigerians who attempt to emigrate through illegal means will face the consequences of their actions.
Earlier in the meeting, Chief Rowland Ndukuba, the President of NUNAI, expressed his appreciation to the Federal Government for taking steps to address the challenges faced by Nigerians in Italy.
