PDP Vows To Take Over Kaduna Comes 2027

PDP Elect New Chairman, Other Officials In Benue

The Kaduna State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has vowed to take over power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election.

A prominent chieftain and aspirant for the Kaduna State chairmanship of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming election on September 21, 2024, Edward Percy Masha, made this remark.

In a statement made shortly after the launch of his campaign team in Kaduna, Masha voiced his concerns about the hardships inflicted on the populace by the ruling party since 2015.

He remarked, “Kaduna State has turned into a battleground of various insecurities, depriving the citizens of the opportunity to lead normal lives and sustain their livelihoods.”

As for the forthcoming council elections scheduled for October 19, 2024, he stated, “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is poised to regain its mandate, as the state has wholeheartedly embraced the party. With divine support, the electorate will express their dissatisfaction with the current circumstances by turning out in large numbers to vote for PDP candidates.”

Masha assured that, with the backing of the community, his team would diligently work to secure the party’s success across all local government areas in the state if they are elected.

He noted, “Our citizens are thoroughly disillusioned with the difficulties imposed by the APC government. Issues such as insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities have become commonplace in the state. This is a significant concern that our party is committed to addressing comprehensively, providing the people with a fresh start and the opportunity to realize their potential in their quest for a better life.”

During the council elections, he pledged that the party would engage with the community by visiting markets, shops, and homes to advocate for their candidates and highlight the advantages that would come with a PDP victory.

Furthermore, he committed that, if elected as the state chairman, he would work towards welcoming back all those who had departed from the party for various reasons, promising to foster an inclusive environment where every member has a voice in the party’s affairs to promote its advancement.
