I am not interested in demonstrating my contributions - Kate Henshaw to critic
Kate Henshaw, a Nigerian actress, responded to a critic who advised her to “do more” for her country by clapping back, expressing her disinterest in defending herself or her accomplishments.

One X user shared a photo and video of the actress wearing a green and white dress after the recent Independence Day celebrations on October 1, 2024, pleading with her to support the battle against corruption.

According to the reviewer, “Kate, your attitude is really beautiful, but we all need to do more to bring relief to a country that is bedridden and battered and bleeding from so many wounds, knowing that the leaders all failed horribly.”

Despite having an abundance of resources, the huge continent of Africa is home to the poorest people who struggle to exist in extreme poverty. To promote reconciliation, we must work together to combat corruption, instability, injustice, underdevelopment, and many other issues.”

The confusion her post provoked among readers was widespread. What do you want her to do, another X user asked her?

When Henshaw noticed the remark, he quickly replied, “Toh. I shouldn’t be wearing clothing or smiling, naaaa.”

“Your compliment about my attire & the rest of your comment leaves me wondering if you think I am the problem you have described,” Henshaw said in a direct response to the critic. I don’t want to demonstrate to you what I’ve accomplished. You have “rulers” who haven’t yet completed their assigned tasks. Many thanks.”

The actress also reshared a tweet that said, “Nigerians would rather focus on the symptom than the source of the issue. If they do, it will take care of the issue and give them nothing else to whine about all the time. You know, we have a national pastime and hobby of whining. Thus, Madam Kate, continue to win and ignore these trolls. Nigerians would perpetually remain Nigerians.”
