Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has gone to social media amid the country’s recent economic woes and surge in petrol prices to reassure fellow citizens that everything will work out.
The actor shared his inspirational message and a photo of himself wearing his iconic outfit with Tinubu’s face on Instagram on October 11, 2024.
“Everything will work out for our country,” he wrote. Nigeria is going through a tough moment. A lot of people are impatient and furious. But I think that soon, things will turn out well. Good things develop with time. Some effective policies take time to show results.
I have faith that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialasiwajubat would turn Nigeria around.
Despite his good intentions, his supporters and numerous other Instagram users took offense at his message and chastised him for backing the president.
Try Dey, an Instagram user wrote. Say nothing. You’re trying so hard, I know, so don’t be serious. Put on some music, go dance with Judy.”
“They said that tomorrow’s leaders will be the young people. Is Yul suggesting that Nigeria can be fixed by a great-grandfather? How?” inquired another.
Another commenter said, “It looks like someone recently broke out of his cage. We should probably put him back in there as soon as possible. Please report him if you see him.” Please, don’t oponu since you receive minimal change for your hand.
It’s important to note that Edochie is a devoted follower of President Tinubu and has faced criticism on several occasions for doing so.
