This November, Kunle Afoloyan’s most recent thriller, “Recall,” will make its AFRIFF debut

The official poster for Nigerian director Kunle Afolayan‘s upcoming film, “Recall,” has been revealed. The film is scheduled to debut on November 7, 2024, at the African Film Festival.

Not too long ago, on November 3, 2024, the director announced on his Instagram page that his most recent film has been chosen to be screened in the 13th edition of one of Africa’s largest film festivals.

“We are thrilled to present the official poster for Kunle Afolayan’s next psychological thriller, “RECALL,” which will make its AFRIFF debut on November 7th! Leading the magnificent and extraordinarily talented group of “Recall” cast members is the breathtakingly talented @sharonooja @afriff. “Recall” chronicles Goke and Anita’s emotional journey as their seemingly ideal love story takes an unexpected and unexplained turn, all set against the lively background of Lagos. “Check out the trailer and the complete cast reveal soon!” the post stated.

The Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) unites spectators looking for new cinematic voices and innovative film making viewpoints with creative storytellers. Dramatic, documentaries, features, and short films are all part of the annual program, which highlights up-and-coming filmmakers, fresh narrative trends, and artistic expression from African and diaspora artists.

Since the festival’s start in 2010, hundreds of films have gone on to win praise from critics and find new audiences all across the world. Breath of Life and Funmilayo Ransome Kuti are a couple of them.

This year’s AFRIFF, “Africans for Africa: Building global bridges,” is a purposeful attempt to promote beneficial idea exchanges, production links, and business partnerships that add value, increase capacity, and generate income.
