Fela Kuti’s grandson, Nigerian Afrobeat musician Made Kuti, and his wife Indeoye are commemorating their first year of bliss and happiness together.
On November 1, 2024, the singer pondered on their marriage thus far and shared images from their glitzy wedding celebrations on Instagram.
He wrote, “Happy Anniversary, Love! @nedokuti,” as a tribute to his wife. I can’t believe a year has passed already. I appreciate you being flawless. And a huge thank you to our friends and family for making it so lovely.”
Additionally, Indeoye shared a heartfelt reflection on their first year of marriage and the years they’ve spent together in a post of her own on Instagram.
Because it’s YOU, I’ll do it all over again. I’ve known you for 15 years, been with you for 4 years, and been married to you for 1 year. It’s been lovely and easy,” she added. Greetings on your anniversary, Adé Orí Mi! Even though I’m the better dancer, I look forward to many more years of friendship, love, belly laughter, gisting, and dancing with you. In 2023, a private event attended by intimate friends, relatives, and celebrities, the white wedding ceremony and traditional wedding took place in Ikeja, Lagos State. In the social media videos that have gone viral, Ideoiye walked down the aisle beside her parents, who were beaming and wearing traditional clothing.
As they exchanged vows to love each other till the day they died, Kuti, on the other side, was ecstatic and could not contain his happiness. To everyone’s delight, they then signed their wedding certificate, and the occasion was live-streamed on Instagram.
