On Wednesday morning, former President Donald Trump declared himself the winner of Tuesday’s United States election.
The Republican presidential candidate made this declaration while addressing his jubilant supporters in Florida this morning.
It is worth noting that votes in key states are still being counted at the time of filing this report.
However, Trump, while addressing his supporters at West Palm Beach, said, “Look what happened – is this crazy?”
He added, “I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honour of being elected your 47th president.
“I will fight for you and your family and your future, every single day I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body.”
He told the crowd he had won a “magnificent victory for the American people” while claiming he had also won the popular vote, something he failed to secure during his 2016 and 2020 presidential bids.
“This will truly be the golden age of America,” the 78-year-old said.
Donald Trump has emerged victorious in the pivotal battleground states of Georgia, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina while also maintaining a lead in numerous other states.
This development significantly narrows the path to victory for Kamala Harris.
“We overcame obstacles that no one thought possible,” Trump said as family, including “my beautiful wife Melania” and his “amazing” children, stood next to him.
“We’re going to help our country heal, we have a country that needs help and it needs help very badly,” Trump said while doubling down on his promise to crack down on illegal immigration.
