At the just ended African Film Festival on November 9, 2024, Nollywood actress Uzoamaka Onuoha took home the prize for outstanding female performance in a feature.

For her role in Agemo, Uzoamaka Onuoha received more than three nominations. The film, which was directed by Moshood Abiola Obatula, shows the difficulties experienced by women while following Agatha as she makes her way through a perilous and enigmatic world. The spooky film examines issues of power struggles, manipulation, and the fallout from taking advantage of the weak.
The main heroine, played by Onuoha, is a rapidly rising actress who has a number of credits, including Blood Sisters (2022), If I Am President (2018), and Inside Life (2022).
The movie is scheduled for public release this year, despite the fact that its first look images were released in December 2023.
Uzoamaka Onuoha, Raphael Ayara, Joe Kosoko, Yinka Quadri, Mojisola Afolayan, Kola Olaiya, Lawal Aramide Pabira, and Darasimi Madi are among the cast members of the Esther Olayinka-written movie.
