For the 18th time, Michael “Ama Psalmist” Akinrogude has won the TFAA Prize for Best Film

During the Future Awards Africa on November 10, 2024, Nollywood director Ama Psalmist won the award for Film of the Year.

Young Africans who are pushing boundaries and changing the future of the continent through media, technology, and other means were honored at the 18th edition of The Future Awards Africa, which was themed “Celebrating the Great and Daring.”

Director Pink, Akinkunle Michael Akinrogunde (AMA Psalmist), Tola Okodugha, Fadamana Okwong, and Feyifunmi Oginni were among the nominees for the Prize for Film; nevertheless, Akinkunle Michael (AMA Psalmist) was the winner.

 

A diverse range of the continent’s most brilliant brains and audacious talents were represented among this year’s nominees, which included trailblazing creatives and innovative entrepreneurs. There were 23 categories on the list of nominees, including acting, music, technology, business, professional service, education, law, and photography. TFAA honors young people who have accomplished exceptional things in the year in question and are between the ages of 18 and 31.

Ama Psalmist is a TV and movie director that has a number of works to his name. Love Notes, Where the Heck Is My Period, Dear Diane, Clinically Speaking, Once Upon a Honeymoon, Penance, My Mfon—an election day tale, and The Ghost and Tout Too are a few of them.
