After finding out he would soon become a father, Ayoola Ayolola made an effort at suicide

After having his child outside of marriage, Ayoola Ayolola believed his actions had let everyone down, particularly his pastor father.

Nollywood actor Ayoola Ayolola has disclosed that he tried suicide once after learning he would become a father.

During an appearance with Chude Jideonwo, Ayolola talked candidly about his path to fatherhood, emphasizing that he wasn’t ready to be a father and suffered from depression when it

transpired.

“I was still getting my bearings and trying to understand why I was in this place. Even though I was trying to maneuver those seas, I knew why I was here. Thus, I’m now expected to

I’m expected to serve someone now? Can I truly make or break a person’s existence directly?” he asked.

He also disclosed that he experienced regret upon learning that he would be fathering an unmarried child, feeling as though he had let his pastor father and all of us down.

“I had an unmarried child. When was that? Naturally, my dad was not very pleased with me at the time because I was a pastor’s kid, and I became so miserable that I nearly committed

suicide. One of the worst periods of my existence was that one. I was unable to recognize its benefits because I was so consumed by its drawbacks,” he remarked.

Ayolola also described the day he lost his mind and stood in the middle of an arterial highway, intending to be struck by a car and killed.

“I thought, ‘What would happen if I just stop it now?'” No one is going to miss me, you know. I was literally in the thick of the road, and I purposefully made a mistake in my crossing

calculation so that I would get hit. “Perhaps this is a smart idea,” he remarked.

The fear of going to hell overcame him, and he started to second-guess his choice at the last minute, just in case he wasn’t run over.

“But then, I believe the worry that you’ll burn in hell would you do it. Hell is not where I want to go. Perhaps that was a horrible idea. Subsequently, there was an event that caused the car to

either accelerate or decelerate, and it simply passed me. I still went off the road, and some others helped me up without realizing what I was trying to do “Ayolola went on.

The actor disclosed that following his endeavor, his perspective on life underwent a radical shift, enabling him to recognize the advantages of being a father.

“Well, all of that has passed, and I am able to reflect back. The young man is incredibly attractive, and as I stare at him, I think, incredibly? I was going to miss this, is that right? Whose life

was I going to ruin with my deeds, this?

The child in question might have lost his fatherhood as a result of the action I was about to commit, which I had chosen to take without thinking.”
