BREAKING: Manchester United Finally Sacks Coach Erik Ten Hag

Manchester United has finally terminated the contract of their Dutch manager, Erik Ten Hag.

Ten Hag, who previously coached Ajax, oversaw his final match for the Red Devils in a 2-1 loss in an English Premier League match against West Ham United over the weekend.

In a statement issued on Monday regarding Ten Hag’s dismissal, the club also revealed the appointment of former striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy as his successor.

“Erik ten Hag has left his role as Manchester United men’s first-team manager. We are grateful to Erik for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well for the future.

“Ruud van Nistelrooy will take charge of the team as interim head coach, supported by the current coaching team, whilst a permanent head coach is recruited,” the club statement read.

During the summer, United nearly dismissed the Dutch manager following his leadership resulting in the club’s poorest finish in Premier League history.

However, the new administration led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe ultimately opted to retain him, activating a one-year extension to his contract.
