Dangote, IPMAN Reach Agreement On Direct Supply Of Petrol

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has negotiated with Dangote Refinery to transport products directly from the refinery.

Abubakar Garima, the President of the IPMAN’s National Chapter, confirmed this development during a press conference on Monday in Abuja after a session of the National Working Committee of the Association.

He mentioned that this collaboration would guarantee a consistent, cost-effective distribution of PMS products across the country.

Garima encouraged members of IPMAN to back Dangote Refinery, highlighting the advantages of forward integration and its beneficial effect on Nigeria’s international trade.

He said: “After meeting with Aliko Dangote and his management team in Lagos, we are pleased to announce that Dangote Refinery has agreed to supply IPMAN with PMS, AGO, and DPK directly for distribution to our depots and retail outlets.

“IPMAN members should rely on Dangote Refinery and Nigerian refineries for white products, creating more job opportunities and supporting President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.”

The latest progress wraps up a span of negotiations lasting several months and is anticipated to boost productivity, make services more affordable, and stimulate economic expansion.

The Dangote Refinery, standing as Africa’s and Europe’s biggest refinery, has started making petrol, diesel, and jet fuel, aiming to provide services to more than 30,000 IPMAN members and 150,000 stores across the country.

This strategy is projected to cut out intermediaries, lower expenses, and guarantee a consistent supply.
