Superstar Davido of Nigerian music collaborated with rapidly rising British-Nigerian musician Darkoo to create an alluring, sensuous single.
The mid-tempo single, which was published on October 11, 2024, features a compelling combination of Afrobeats and R&B tunes, with Darkoo and Davido putting their hearts on their sleeves.
Darkoo is back on track with “Right Now,” building on the success of her remix of “Favourite Girl,” which included Rema.
This is Davido’s second collaboration of the year; he has contributed multiple guest verses, most notably on the remix of “Ogechi” by BoyPee, Hyce, and Brown Joel, as well as more recently on “Joy” alongside Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo.
Additionally contributing his special talent to the song, which is sure to become another listener’s favorite, is Jamaican celebrity Rvssian. Having previously worked with Nigerian Grammy-nominated musician Ayra Starr on his smash song “Santa,” Rvssian is no stranger to the genre of Afrobeats.
Darkoo has been one of the emerging talents in the UK Afrobeats scene since becoming well-known. She participated in the remix of Camidoh’s massive hit song “Sugarcane” in 2022. She was also included on the remix of “Body,” the popular song by Tion Wayne.
