Making the step a top priority, the nation’s anti-graft agency announced on Wednesday that to ensure effective implementation, the Commission has established a Special Task Force in all its Zonal Commands.
Under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, the Task Force has been tasked with safeguarding the economy from various forms of abuse, leakages, and distortions. By doing so, it aims to maintain stability and prevent any disruptions that may arise.
The EFCC said that in recent developments, its operatives acted smartly by apprehending individuals involved in the issuance of invoices in dollars and the mutilation of the Naira.
These arrests, the commission said, happened in both Lagos and Port Harcourt, demonstrating the Commission’s commitment to combating these illegal activities.
