Nigerian comedian cum The tendency of Nigerian politicians to embezzle public cash for private gain has been criticized by Nollywood actor Debo Adedayo, best known by his stage name Mr. Macaroni.
According to Naija News Thrill, the movie star claimed in a post made through his X handle that Nigerian politicians have embezzled and continue to embezzle billions of Naira from the country’s coffers.
“It is painful that some Nigerians have continued to defend the acts of the politicians who do not care about the existence of the masses,” Macaroni said, despite the fact that there are no consequences for the politicians’ actions.
The playwright referred to the theft of public monies as “greed and wickedness” and asked how the nation is meant to improve while its leaders are embezzling money.
He penned, “Nigerian Politicians have stolen and are still stealing billions and trillions from the Nation’s purse. Unfortunate enough as it is that there are Zero Consequences for these actions, it is torturous that the people whose treasury are being looted continue to defend Politicians who absolutely do not care about their existence.
