Revered Southwest monarch, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, met with Nigeria’s former President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday at the latter’s residence in Daura, Katsina State.
This development was confirmed by Ahmad Bashir, a former media aide to the former leader, who shared photographs of the meeting on X (formerly known as Twitter) on the same day.
Bashir wrote: “Today, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ọjájá II), was in Daura with his entourage to visit former President Muhammadu Buhari.”
Subsequently, the Ooni of Ife visited the 60th Emir of Daura, HRH Faruk Umar Faruk, at his palace, accompanied by Buhari.
