The National Identity Management Commission has recorded a total of 117 million registrations for the National Identity Number as of February 28, 2025. According to the latest enrolment statistics from the NIMC dashboard, 66,281,803 (56.5%) of the registered individuals are male, while 51,079,521 (43.5%) are female. There are indications that the naira-for-crude policy of the Federal Government may continue, as impeccable insider sources familiar with the development insisted on Monday that all parties involved in the deal would reconvene soon. The first phase of the six-month deal involving the Federal Government, Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, and Dangote Petroleum Refinery ended March 31, 2025.
