With the use of personal interviews and engrossing behind-the-scenes video, viewers will comprehend the crucial function that movies’ emotional impact is shaped in part by sound design.
“From pulse-pounding combat scenes to poignant dramatic moments, our series highlights the amazing ability and dedication of everyone who makes it all attainable.”
We encourage viewers to delve into the complex craft of music composition and sound design found in Nigerian films with Sounds of Nollywood. This project explores the varied soundscape of Nollywood, presenting the distinct fusion of cultural inspirations and artistic expressions that define the sounds in the most important projects in the industry. The sounds range from traditional rhythms to modern beats.
“By showcasing the work of talented audiologists and composers from across Nigeria, we desire to emphasize an unstudied part of Nollywood’s character – the music,” says Anita Eboigbe, co-founder of In Nollywood. —the soundtrack to its movies—and hope that others will be motivated by this. Our series aims to provide a deeper understanding of the importance of sound design and how it can revolutionize film, particularly in Nollywood.”
