Tinubu Appoints Zubaida Umar As New NEMA DG
President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of Mrs. Zubaida Umar as the Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
As per a statement released by President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, Mrs. Umar’s appointment highlights the President’s dedication to promoting gender
inclusion.
With over two decades of experience in various fields, such as human resources, finance, and administration, the new Director-General of NEMA is a member of the chartered Institute of Bankers
and the Institute of Credit Administration.
Ngelale mentioned that the president anticipates that the new director-general will introduce essential financial and operational discipline and transform the agency into a performance-oriented
and proactive emergency response provider.
