In a thrilling turn of events, Manchester United secured their spot in the FA Cup semi-final by edging Liverpool out.

Thanks to a late goal from Ahmad Diallo, a finish that left Liverpool stunned at Old Trafford.

Diallo’s celebration, however, resulted in a second booking and a subsequent red card for removing his shirt. Despite the chaos that ensued during the intense 120 minutes, United’s hopes of

clinching silverware this season remained intact.

Liverpool briefly took the lead with two goals in just three minutes courtesy of Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah, following Scott McTominay’s opening goal.

Nevertheless, Antony’s first goal at Old Trafford in over a year breathed new life into United, pushing the game into extra time. Just when it seemed Liverpool had the upper hand again, Harvey

Elliott’s deflected shot found the bottom corner, putting them in the lead once more.

Marcus Rashford was able to redeem his dignity after missing a glorious chance to win the tie deep into injury time. He scored the third goal for the Red Devils to make the score level.

Diallo then scored just his second-ever United goal in added time of extra-time at the end of a breakneck counter-attack from a Liverpool corner, led by the impressive Alejandro Garnacho.
