Peter Obi Planning To Dump Labour Party, Join Forces With El-Rufai At SDP – Bwala Alleges

Daniel Bwala, a former spokesperson of the defunct Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, has asserted that Peter Obi is considering leaving the Labour Party.

It is worth noting that there is ongoing disagreement between the Labour Party and the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC).

Amid the party’s leadership tussle, Bwala has alleged that Obi is plotting to withdraw from the Labour Party to collaborate with former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai in the Social

Democratic Party (SDP).

Bwala made this allegation in a post on his official X account on Friday, linking the recent development to the ongoing dispute within the Labour Party.

Several news platforms reported earlier the strained relationship between the Labour Party and the NLC, which stemmed from calls for the removal of the party’s national chairman, Julius Abure.

However, addressing the discord, Bwala suggested that Obi might align with El-Rufai in the SDP, as the Labour Party intensifies its efforts to oust the current leadership under Abure.

“BREAKING-Peter Obi @PeterObi allegedly planning to unite with El-rufai @elrufai in Social Democratic Party as Nigerian Labour Congress set to take ownership and custody of their

political party, the @NgLabour. Recall that there was a judgment of the court that states that the Nigeria Labour Congress owns the Labour Party. NLC is now prepared to take custody of that

party.

Twist and turns in the coming days. But all that will not give sleepless night to @officialABAT who himself has his magic wands to wield,” Bwala wrote on X formerly known as Twitter.
