Oshoala arrives Saudi for Al Hilal medicals

The move of Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala from Bay FC to Al Hilal of the Saudi Women’s League is reportedly imminent.

One and a half years after joining Bay FC, Oshoala arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday for medical exams in preparation for the transfer, according to The Athletic.

She was also not part of Bay FC’s squad for their 2-1 defeat over Angel City on Monday night.

Before the transfer window closed, Al Hilal finalised the deal for the Nigerian international striker, according to The Athletic.

According to the source, Oshoala is currently in Saudi Arabia in preparation for a medical examination that is set for tonight (Monday), after Bay FC and Al Hilal agreed on an undisclosed transfer fee.

In February 2024, the 30-year-old left Barcelona Women to join the National Women’s Soccer League in the United States.

She has made 38 appearances and scored eight goals for Bay FC during her time in the US, but her participation has decreased since the previous campaign.

Oshoala has played for elite clubs in Europe, Asia, and the USA after departing Rivers Angels in Nigeria.

She was also a member of the Super Falcons’ team that won their 10th WAFCON championship in Morocco in July, setting a new record.
