Rivers: Fubara pledges to continue serving people’s interests

Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, has promised the state’s citizens that his administration will always act in their best interests.

Shortly after his arrival in the State capital’s Government House in Port Harcourt on Friday, Fubara made the assurance.

He thanked the people and citizens of the state for their kind reception at the Port Harcourt International Airport in Omagwa, which is located in the state’s Ilwerre Local Government Area.

“I know everyone wants to hear something from me,” Fubara said. Even as he expressed gratitude for the enormous number of locals who turned out to greet and celebrate his return, he said, “In fact, you expected it when I landed at the airport.”

According to the governor, the welcome was an expression of love, trust, and unity.

“I want to start by expressing my gratitude to the amazing residents of Rivers State. The things I witnessed at the airport truly humbled me. I was shown a few pictures of yesterday’s events here. I was truly humbled by that reception,” he remarked.

The enormous reception, according to Governor Fubara, was a celebration as well as a reaffirmation of the relationship between his government and the populace.

“It demonstrated love, confidence, and solidarity,” he said. In addition to the celebration and the overwhelming turnout, I would want to emphasize the demonstration and reaffirmation of the relationship between this government and the people we serve.

Fubara went on, “I want to reassure you that, with God’s grace, we will keep doing the things that have won your love.” I want to express my gratitude to everyone and let them know that although we love them, God loves them even more.

However, the governor said that he will give a formal speech to the state around 6 p.m., during which he will thank everyone who helped restore normalcy to the state.

“We will express our gratitude to everyone who helped restore normalcy to this state in our official address to the state by 6 p.m.,” he said.
