Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the immediate past governor of Kano State and former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stated that Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso and his supporters will be greeted as crazies who have returned to their vomit if they join the party.
Additionally, Ganduje made fun of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. He defined their government style as “directionless” and their politics as erratic.
A BBC Hausa broadcast that was shown in Kaduna on Saturday claims that Ganduje spoke at an APC leaders’ stakeholders’ meeting in Kano on Thursday. This is the first meeting of its type since he left office. Ganduje brushed off rumours that Kwankwaso might join the APC.
He claims that after consistently disparaging the ruling party, Kwankwaso lacks the consistency to rejoin it.
“We have also heard these rumours, but we don’t believe them. There is no distinction between a thief and a false priest in a democracy. Only a lunatic would join the APC, according to Kwankwaso.
He even made fun of President Tinubu during his campaign, saying that Tinubu was exclusively responsible for the development of Lagos. They now wish to go back. We’ll greet them as “madmen who swallowed their vomit” if they show here, Ganduje declared.
Ganduje emphasised that all three of them have governance experience to lead the current administration if unity becomes essential and that there was no reason why they couldn’t make amends with Kwankwaso and former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau.
Ganduje turned his attention on Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, calling his successor’s administration a “government of vendetta and cluelessness” that was wasting money and without the ability to govern.
“I wasted no time questioning my predecessor after I assumed control. A single administration is not the end of governance. However, Abba Yusuf used probes to begin his administration. What have they found, tell me?
“In just six months, they have received more funding than my administration had in eight years. But what have they accomplished? Ganduje asked.
“This government has no grip on governance,” he added. It’s like contrasting a permanent secretary with a messenger. They have an incoherent and sloppy bandit government. They carelessly invest in enterprises that don’t yield a profit.
Ganduje claimed that zoning and political rotation were the only reasons for his dismissal as APC National Chairman.
“I was not wronged by the President. “God grants leadership to anyone He desires at any time; it is by His will,” he remarked.
Ganduje also denied claims that the APC was losing ground, stating that the ruling party is still the biggest platform in Nigeria even with a few defections.
As of the time of publication, neither Kwankwaso nor Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has addressed Ganduje’s remarks.
