The online ticketing system for the Abuja–Kaduna Train Service is now available for purchase, according to the Nigerian Railway Corporation.
This was said in a statement released in Lagos on Tuesday by Mr. Callistus Unyimadu, the NRC’s chief public relations officer.
According to Umyimadu, travellers were therefore urged to purchase their tickets in person at any of the scheduled stations or online at https://nrc.tps.ng prior to the October 1 commencement.
He claims that after a study of the Temporary Speed Restriction (TSR) to improve operations, the journey time has been shortened in anticipation of the return of services.
he revised itinerary is as follows Abuja – Kaduna – Idu: 8:45 a.m., Kubwa, 9:10 a.m., Rigasa (Arrive), 11:47 a.m., Kaduna – Abuja: Rigasa, 2:30 p.m., Kubwa, 5:12 p.m., and Idu (Arrive), 5:32 p.m.”
He stated that the management of NRC appreciated the patience and understanding of its esteemed passengers during the suspension period.
He gave the public his word that consumer happiness, comfort, and safety would always come first.
The sale of tickets followed a temporary stop when a passenger train heading from Abuja to Kaduna derailed on August 26, a Tuesday morning, leaving many carriages upturned and creating panic among people on board.
NRC had earlier said it had completed rigorous safety, technical, and operational tests after the cessation of service.
