On the occasion of her 65th birthday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) congratulated First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, calling her a staunch pillar of support for President Bola Tinubu.
The APC said in a statement signed by Felix Morka, the party’s national publicity secretary, on Sunday that the First Lady had been by her husband’s side from his days of pro-democracy activism, through his tenure as governor of Lagos State, and now as president of Nigeria, in addition to her roles as wife and mother.
Throughout his incredible career in public service, Senator Remi Tinubu has been President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR’s unwavering rock of support. The First Lady has been an invaluable source of support and a trustworthy ally since Mr. President’s days as a pro-democracy activist, Lagos State Governor, and now President, for which our country is grateful,” the statement said in part.
She was also characterised by the APC as a devout Christian, seasoned public worker, philanthropist, and shrewd politician who has impacted the lives of innumerable people through her initiatives, such as the New Era Foundation and the Renewed Hope Initiative.
According to the party, the First Lady has supported initiatives that have given senior citizens, widows, and other disadvantaged groups welfare support, healthcare assistance, scholarships, and youth and women’s empowerment through these platforms.
According to the statement, the National Working Committee members, millions of party members across the country, and APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda joined the First Family in congratulating Senator Tinubu.
The statement went on to say, “We pray God will grant her excellent health, strength, grace, and wisdom in her continued devoted service to family, country, and humanity.”
