BREAKING: Rights Group Commences Nationwide Protest In Lagos Despite Police Warning

Take It Back Movement, a human rights organization, has initiated a countrywide demonstration in Lagos to express their discontent with the prevailing economic difficulties in the nation.

This action is taking place in defiance of the cautionary statement issued earlier by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade.

The protest serves as a precursor to the upcoming labour strike scheduled to commence on Tuesday.

Earlier, the police spokesperson in Lagos, Benjamin Hundeyin, relayed a statement where he cited the Commissioner of Police, Fayoade, cautioning potential protesters against engaging in violence or behaviours that may violate the rights of others, like disrupting traffic flow and halting commercial operations in the state.

Fayoade reassured Lagos State residents that adequate security measures had been implemented to safeguard lives and property, regardless of any protests.

However, the following day, demonstrators disregarded the warning and marched through the streets with placards.
