Norman thinks that empowering Africa’s youth and their potential is the key to realizing the continent’s full potential.

The renowned private citizens club Soho House in the world, along with the British-Ugandan Award-winning director Norman Busigu, successfully hosted his first event in America (Miami,

Florida) on Saturday, March 9, 2024. The location of the event was Soho Beach House. Norman presented excerpts from his critically praised documentary, “Ghana: Africa’s Exciting Entry

Point?” (2022) and “Nigeria: Can Its Youth Shape Its Future?” (2023), during the two-hour session.

Norman discussed key themes in Docu-Films, African Diaspora power, the continent’s future, global creative industries evolution, and his journey as an independent filmmaker, media

broadcaster, and fashion model.

Norman’s Docu-Film on Ghana received support from Vogue’s Global Entertainment Director, Deborah Ababio, and airs on British Television and Cambridge University. It also received

international support from leading media hubs in Africa. Norman is recognized as “Africa’s Modern Storyteller” by GQ South Africa, helping to positively reshape the continent’s global

perception, as mainstream Western media has not always portrayed Africa positively.

Attendees gave Nrman’s Miami event overwhelmingly excellent ratings! With this momentum, Norman plans to further his mission of promoting his artistic works throughout the world.

Specifically, he hopes to use his films as a means of igniting critical discussions about Africa’s future, bringing those living abroad together with those on the continent, and, ultimately, catalyzing

real change and advancement. Norman thinks that empowering Africa’s youth and their abilities is the key to realizing the continent’s full potential. After building the bridge to

America and realizing there was a need for his services, Norman now really wants to spread his point of view and films throughout the African-American community in the United States(since he

plans to travel to America for extended periods in the future), focusing on locations like Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Houston.

In addition, Norman told us how happy he is with his career path as a filmmaker and how far he believes he can push things! To improve the caliber of his films and events on an

international basis, he now hopes to attract the interest and financial support of well-known media centers and entertainment companies. This is particularly significant as he prepares to release

his third documentary, which he is very excited about because he believes it will showcase his development as a filmmaker and storyteller.

Additionally, Norman stated that he is pleased with the positive responses that his activities and body of work have garnered all over the world (UK, France, and now Florida).

Particular appreciations are extended to these individuals: So Fraiche Media (producer of the Ghanaian docu-film), The Milade Films (producer of the Nigerian docu-film), Jendaya (official

partners of the Nigeria docu-film), DJ Reckyy (founder of Playback), Head of Documentary Post Production for both docu-films. Neither Docu-Film has been made available to the audience yet.
