Cardi B, an American rapper, is the only female rapper to have both of her studio albums debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart.
Following the historic success of her debut album, Invasion of Privacy (2018), which also opened at number one, her sophomore album, Am I The Drama?, debuted at the top spot with 200,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
“Cardi B scores her second No. 1 on the Billboard 200 as ‘AM I THE DRAMA?’ debuts atop the tally,” said the official Instagram post from Billboard on Sunday, confirming the achievement.
It’s the largest week for a female R&B/hip-hop album in 2025, with 200,000 equivalent album units sold in the US, according to luminate_data.
Ahhh
Cardi B’s second full-length studio album, “AM I THE DRAMA?” comes after her 2018 chart-topping debut, “Invasion of Privacy.”
Aside from this momentous achievement, am I the drama? also achieved the highest first-week sales of 2025 for a female R&B/hip-hop artist, driven by robust physical sales from several vinyl and CD versions as well as enormous streaming numbers.
In order to promote the album, Cardi B is anticipated to start an arena tour in February 2026.
Along with her achievement at the top of the charts, Cardi B set a Guinness World Record for the most drone deliveries in a single hour. She distributed 176 autographed copies of Am I The Drama? throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metro region in Texas on September 19, 2025, in collaboration with Walmart and Wing Drone Delivery.
“Most deliveries by UAV drones in one hour: 176, by @iamcardib, @AtlanticRecords, @Wing & @Walmart at multiple locations today across the Dallas–Fort Worth region, Texas, USA,” according to the official Guinness certification.
As the first time an artist has used drone technology to link a world record to an album release, the endeavor represented a turning point in music promotion. “A special moment for my fans and a crazy new way to drop music,” Cardi B said of the rollout.
