Cursing Tinubu Will Not Solve Nigeria’s Problems – Says Primate Ayodele

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has stated that staging protests and raining curses on President Bola Tinubu and his appointees cannot solve Nigeria’s problems.

The controversial cleric called on Nigerians to pray for President Tinubu’s government as it appeared to be confused about the current state of the country.

In a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele, who is known for his monthly and yearly prophetic declarations, warned that the economy could collapse within the next two weeks if the ongoing crisis is not resolved.

He emphasized the importance of organizing prayers for the leaders instead of criticizing and protesting against them, as he believed that this would help them find the wisdom to navigate the challenges facing the nation.

The cleric stressed that resorting to curses would only exacerbate the situation, and urged Nigerians to offer prayers for their leaders in order to alleviate the hardships being faced by the people.

Primate Ayodele said: “Cursing President Tinubu and those in power will not solve anything. Nigerians should learn to pray for their leaders because we all want the country to be better. I warned Nigerians against voting for APC, but they didn’t listen, and now, they are reaping what they sowed. Protests and curses won’t solve anything other than prayers for our leaders.’

‘’In the next two weeks, the Nigerian economy may shut down if there is no solution to some of the issues we are facing, especially on price control. We will just realize everyone is going on strike, no one would be willing to sell anything again because of the economic hardship.

“We have failed to listen before we got to this stage and curses will not even do anything at all. All we need now is God’s mercy for our leaders and country.’’

Primate Ayodele previously offered counsel to the government, suggesting the need to lower the costs of essential food items as a means to alleviate the prevailing hardships in the nation.

He emphasized the importance of the government’s focus on key sectors such as agriculture, electricity, and security, among others, in order to mitigate the economic challenges faced by the country.

“The government of Nigeria must work on five things in 2024 which can make the country great: (1) Stable light, (2) Improve security and buy more weapons, (3) Development of infrastructural facilities, (4) Agriculture (plenty of food) and (5) Create employment,’’ the cleric stated.
