Dangote Group mourns Phyna’s sister

Ruth Otabor, the sister of Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Phyna, passed away weeks after a collision involving one of the company’s vehicles at Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State. The Dangote Group has expressed its sorrow over her passing.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ruth Otabor, who was injured in the recent road incident involving one of our trucks in Auchi, Edo State,” the firm said in a statement released soon after her passing was announced.

The Dangote Group stated that all of Ruth’s family’s financial and medical costs had been covered by its representatives and insurance partners since the accident.

“Arrangements have been made to fly her abroad for advanced treatment,” the statement continued.

“Our authorities and insurance partners have been by her side since the accident, supporting her family and paying for all of her medical and financial expenses. The business stated that, “pending medical clearance from her doctors, arrangements had been made for her to be flown to India for advanced treatment.”

 

The Dangote Group said, “Unfortunately, we lost Ruth today despite these efforts and her courageous fight to live.”

The company expressed its sympathies to the Otabor family and reiterated its dedication to safety and responsibility in its activities.

In times of tragedy, we are still dedicated to bolstering our safety protocols and providing assistance to those impacted. The statement ended with the words, “May God grant her mercy and eternal rest.”

On behalf of the Otabor family, Eko Solicitors & Advocates had previously acknowledged Ruth’s passing.
