16 tech businesses have been announced by the Federal Inland Revenue Service as service partners to help taxpayers join its e-invoicing platform.
At a two-day workshop in Lagos on Thursday, the tech companies—certified by the National Information Technology Development Agency as access point providers and system integrators—were introduced to assist taxpayers with the onboarding, system integration, and invoice transmission processes.
The National E-Invoicing Solution (Merchant-Buyer Model), as defined by the FIRS, is a computerized record of transactions between buyers and suppliers that essentially replaces conventional paper or electronic documents like invoices, credit notes, and debit notes.
All necessary transaction information, such as supplier and buyer details, item descriptions, quantities, pricing, taxes, and total amounts, are included in this eInvoice. created to make it easier to validate and store transactions in real-time or almost real-time.
Mike Adoga, FIRS’s Acting Director of Tax Automation, revealed the service providers and stated that customers might change providers at any time.
“You have the option to make changes and notify us as FIRS if any of them are not compliant for whatever reason. Please contact the FIRS team if you suspect a breach or encounter any issues interacting with others,” Adoga stated.
“There will be more coming, and the list will continuously be updated,” he said, indicating that more service providers would be included. Therefore, these service providers will be eliminated if we ever discover that they are violating any of the terms of service.
Ace of Spades Consult Nigeria Limited, Cryptware System Limited, Namiri Technology Nigeria Limited, Jureb Business Solutions Limited, Qucoon Limited, Courteville Business Solutions, Softrust Technologies Limited, Etranzact International Plc, Hoptool Technology Limited, Pasca Technology Limited, and Etranzact International Plc are among the service providers.
The others are Remita Payment Limited, Westmetro Limited, Arca Payments Company Limited, Elara Technical Services Ltd, and Interswitch Limited.
Mr. Tayo Koleosho, the Chief of Staff to the FIRS Executive Chairman, stated in his opening remarks that since the e-invoicing platform became live on August 1, 2025, more than 1,000 enterprises have been onboarded, which only accounts for 20% of the target taxpayers. It is anticipated that more than 5,000 businesses will join the platform.
MTN, IHS, and Huawei are the first three IT businesses to launch on the platform, according to Koleosho, who was accompanied by Emmanuel Eze, FIRS’s Director of Change Management.
He went on to say that the FIRS has prolonged the onboarding deadline by three months in spite of the accomplishment.
“We acknowledge that the onboarding process is still in progress. For this reason, the FIRS has authorized a three-month delay to the onboarding and transmission date, which is currently slated for November 1, 2025, in an effort to promote voluntary compliance. “This extension is not an opportunity or a request that you put things off,” he stated.
