Killers Of Soldiers In Delta To Be Found Soon – Defence Minister
Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Alhaji Muhammed Badaru Abubakar, has given his assurance that the perpetrators responsible for the gruesome killing of soldiers in Delta state will be identified
and brought to justice promptly.
During his address to the troops of the 1 Division Nigerian Army in Kaduna on Thursday, the minister expressed his appreciation for their dedication to combating bandits in the Northwestern
states.
He also mentioned that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu acknowledges their sacrifices and is pleased with their commitment. In addition to commending their hard work, he urged them to intensify
their efforts to eradicate all forms of insecurity in Nigeria.
“We have the power, will, strength, and determination and our morale is high to end insecurity, I know what you have been doing to rescue the school children unhurt keep the morale high, the
President is behind you a hundred percent.
“I have been briefed about your efforts to rescue the kidnapped school children. The strategies that I have been briefed about are going very well, and I am sure you will get them.
The former governor of Jigawa State noted, “We will free those children and bring them back to their parents.”
“We thank you for your sleepless nights to keep us safe”.
The Minister expressed his sorrow and regret over the tragic loss of soldiers in Delta State. He extended his condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers and promised that those responsible
for the heinous act would be identified and brought to justice.
“We will find the killers of our soldiers and deal with them. You don’t kill our men and go scot-free, we will deal with them squarely,” he said.
The Minister provided reassurance regarding the abduction of the 287 students from Kuriga, stating that there will be positive developments soon.
It was emphasized that every possible action and precautionary steps were being taken to ensure the safe rescue of the school children.
