This was confirmed in a statement released on Wednesday by Ajuri Ngelale, the media aide to the President.
The visit is a result of an invitation extended by the Emir of the State of Qatar, His Highness, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The primary objective of this visit is to enhance cooperation between the two nations in various areas, such as security, cultural exchange, and economic development.
During his stay, President Tinubu will have the opportunity to witness the signing of multiple agreements that aim to bolster Nigeria’s real sector and promote investments that add value across various fields. These agreements will encompass trade, education, culture, solid minerals, digital economy, agriculture, and gas. Additionally, the visit aims to foster collaboration in the fight against terrorism.
Ngelale mentioned that the President is scheduled to take part in a business and investment forum, which will convene high-ranking executives from the private and public sectors of Nigeria and Qatar to enhance opportunities for cross-sectoral growth and development that are mutually advantageous.
He also stated that senior government officials would accompany the President during the trip for the purpose of signing agreements.
